The Louisville Book Festival is changing it’s structure for authors this year. You will no longer have to man a table if you do not wish to do so, unless you are self-published and in some cases if you are with a small press. Authors in this category will pay a table fee and be responsible for selling their own books. This also means I will need to bring my books with me.

Books submitted for review will not be returned under any circumstances. Your books will be donated or utilized for fundraising by the Louisville Book Festival, a nonprofit charity.

I have read the criteria to apply and have my book(s) considered by the Book Festival committee.

The Louisville Book Festival seeks to highlight new work. We accept authors and review select books for acceptance. In most cases, your entire backlist will not be accepted by the Festival.

Applicants will be notified of acceptance by August 14th. Inquiries about acceptance sent prior to this date will not be answered due to our limited staff availability.

The only items approved to sell at the festival are book-related items. If I sell other merchandise that is not directly related to my books during the festival I will be asked to leave immediately. This decision will be at the sole discretion of the Festival director.

If I am a self-published author I will be required to attend a mandatory online training prior to the festival.
